Masking

Specialty Plating, Inc. uses several different types of masking products, including temperature sensitive tape, plugs, plastic and aluminum screws, as well as solvent based liquid maskant for those with more customized needs. We also carry silicon free products for those in the aerospace industry with special requirements.

Our masking department is used for several different requirements, some of which include but isn’t limited to: Keeping the tolerance on your highly precise tapped and bored holes and keeping surfaces electrically conductive after the electroplating process.

For special projects with surface masking please go to the request for quote page and have our staff of knowledgeable surface finishers design the masking, provide lead times, and build your traveler prior to the parts arriving at our facility.

• Passivation to Black Oxide on Stainless Steel, Brass, or Copper.

• Sub-contracting of screen printing, bead blasting, and graining can be arranged upon request
